St Arnaud Piggery Units 2 & 3
St Arnaud Piggery, owned by Rivalea Australia, is spread over two sites in St Arnaud, Victoria. The first site (Unit 1) is located on the Sunraysia Highway, south of town; the second site (Units 2 & 3) is located north of town. At this site, Unit 2 comprises the southern set of sheds, while Unit 3 is the northern set. The footage and photographs displayed here are from Unit 3, depicting industry-standard farrowing crates.
Multiple sows were found with pressure sores from lying on the hard concrete floors, others had painful prolapses. Some were spray-painted with the words "CULL" or "ABORT".
Several dead piglets had been left in the aisles, including one whose throat had been cut wide open, evidently by staff.
Tails and ears of piglets are routinely cut at the St Arnaud Piggery without pain relief.

5 more Victorian piggeries exposed by animal activists

Footage from five more Victorian piggeries has been released by animal protection organisation Farm Transparency Project. The footage was taken by unknown investigators who filmed inside 20 piggeries across the weekend of the 18th & 19th January, before anonymously providing video and photos to Farm Transparency Project. The latest footage to be released is from piggeries in Leitchville, Bagshot North, St Arnaud and Tragowel.
