Australian Zoos: Revealing a Life Behind Bars

In this 2026 investigation, Farm Transparency Project investigators documented the lives of animals in captivity at five zoos, aquariums and animal spectacles across Australia.

We found animals living sad, lonely lives, deprived of the stimulation they need to thrive. We also uncovered the deception behind zoos claims that they play a crucial role in the conservation of native species.

Virtual Tours

Using the latest in 360 camera technology, we've created groundbreaking interactive virtual tours of major Australian piggeries and slaughterhouses - and we've got more tours of other kinds of animal exploitation facilities on the way. This is industry transparency like you've never seen it before.

Experience what it's like for animals behind closed doors, in highly secretive farms where no members of the public are supposed to see.
