Hidden camera angle - electric stunner

At Scottsdale Pork, pigs are stunned using an electric stunner. A pair of metal prongs are clamped around their head and held for 15 seconds, sending a current of electricity through their brains and causing unconsciousness. A 2023 investigation found that multiple pigs continued to display signs of consciousness, including blinking and rhythmic breathing, for minutes after stunning and after their throats had been slit. Some were stunned again, using a bolt gun, while others appeared to remain conscious while tipped into the scalding tank.
