Melbourne Cup

Tonight, on the eve of the Melbourne Cup, we thought we would show you the brutal reality of Australia's horse racing industry ????

Beneath the glitz and glamour of events like the Melbourne Cup, there is a dark underbelly of pain and suffering, for the very creatures most patrons believe they are celebrating.

Every two days a horse dies on an Australian racetrack. According to the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses' at least 168 horses were killed in the last racing year alone ????

Even if racehorses make it through their racing 'careers', they still face an undesirable fate, often ending up in the hands of buyers who send them to be killed for pet food at a knackery.

One of the horses slaughtered in this video, Tycoon Mar, earned $119,785 in prize money and is now listed as 'retired' on the Racing Australia website.

These gentle, intelligent, and social creatures are being exploited on a massive scale. It is our collective responsibility to boycott the racing industry and work relentlessly to end this cruel 'sport' once and for all.

Please, for their sake, don't go to the races ❌
