Live sheep auction, the Faroe Islands, September 2020.
Terrified sheep were dragged out, one by one, in front of a big, cheering crowd and sold for the highest bid.
When the sheep cried out, everyone laughed. People had a good time, the sheep were terrified and very roughly handled and some of them were killed and slaughtered immediately after the auction, as ordered by the buyers.
Afterwards, an auction was held where body parts of the sheep slaughtered prior to the auction was sold.
