Supreme win for Aroora
AROORA Enterprises won supreme pig of the Royal Adelaide Show with a Large White boar.
Jim, Rhonda, Greg and Peta Davis, Murray Bridge, had a great day out, also winning champion sow and boar.
Judge Brenton Schiller, Kenton Valley, said he and co-judge of the supreme pig, Bruce Hamblin, Bendigo, Vic, could not go past the young boar for the coveted title.
"He's just magnificent, there's so much to like about him," Mr Schiller said.
"The boar has got a sensational top-line and beautiful, wide back.
"He impressed me the first moment he came out.
"The boar really has everything you want, he's got a stack of meat, beautiful feet, he's up and active, just an all-round great boar."
The supreme pig of the show had earlier won junior champion boar, champion boar, junior champion boar - all breeds and supreme champion junior exhibit.
Mr Schiller said Aroora Enterprises' junior champion and champion sow also caught his eye as soon as she stepped into the ring.
"She's got a beautiful top-line, and there's a lot of softness to go with it. she's definitely going to be a good mother," he said.
"She parades well and she's got a beautiful teat line."
