Political stink over 'suffering' cattle at NSW farm

A NSW farmer who was the subject of an aborted RSPCA prosecution for animal cruelty at his former piggery is now running a cattle farm on the same property and stands accused of "even more egregious infliction of suffering".

Animal Justice MP Mark Pearson made the allegations under parliamentary privilege in the NSW upper house on Thursday night, citing fresh video footage covertly filmed by animal activists.

Mr Pearson called for Wally Perenc from the Southern Tablelands near Canberra to be investigated over the treatment of cattle and for the police to examine the possibility Mr Perenc resorted to bribery to have charges relating to his piggery dropped six years ago.
