Over the weekend of 18-19 January 2025, dozens of activists investigated twenty Victorian piggeries, documenting conditions and collecting the bodies of dead piglets who had lost their lives at each facility. They found sick, injured and dying piglets, sows with painful, infected sores, filthy sow stalls and farrowing crates filled with the bodies of stillborn piglets, who lay unmoving while their siblings suckled at their confined mothers.
